Our extra-curricular highlights
Kids Rapt on Performing (KROP) at Goolgowi Public School
Kids Rapt on Performing (KROP) is a thrilling annual creative arts event held during Education Week at the stunning Griffith Regional Theatre. For over 15 years, it has given NSW public school students like those at Goolgowi Public School the chance to shine on a professional stage and celebrate the joy of public education through performance.
KROP offers the opportunity for all students to develop their potential in the creative domain, encouraging creativity, expression, and confidence.
Our High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) students at Goolgowi Public School especially enjoy being part of KROP, where they can bring their creativity to life, connect with other talented students, and challenge themselves in new ways. This experience not only showcases their skills but also inspires confidence, teamwork, and a love for the performing arts.
Being part of KROP is a highlight for many of our students—an unforgettable chance to perform, learn, and most importantly, have fun doing what they love in a supportive and exciting environment!
Student Leadership Opportunities
Our school offers exciting leadership experiences through programs such as our Student Parliament and the GRIP Leadership and the Halogen Student Leadership Conferences. Students have the chance to develop their skills, share their voices, and make a positive impact. These leadership trips to Sydney and Wagga Wagga provide valuable opportunities for students to engage with peers, gain new perspectives, and grow as confident leaders.
Our school fosters and develops leadership in K-6 students by embedding opportunities for responsibility, collaboration, and decision-making into everyday teaching practices. Encouraging student voice, promoting teamwork, and creating a supportive environment helps young learners build confidence and essential leadership skills from an early age.
Trips and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
